Tara Deane has been nominated for her ongoing work with running events such as Maidenhead Festival and the Off The Tap Open Mic night in Maidenhead.
Her podcast, @Insidethemusicscene, she highlights artists around Berkshire.
She is also an artist who releases her own music, making her a great competitor for this year’s award!
HE FIRED FIRST – READING
He Fired First is the brainchild of Will Samson, a dynamic reading-based acoustic punk band.
This Reading based group have really grown into themselves this year, playing larger stages and putting on electric performances at a range of different free events over the summer, quickly becoming local legends in Berkshire.
They’ve just recorded and released their latest studio record, “Warmongers‘, available now on all major platforms – go check them out!
MATTHEW FLEMING – WINDSOR
Matt Fleming launched the Other Space Arts Centre in Windsor this year, showcasing a range of different artists and poets throughout 2025.
Matt and his team have been working away behind closed doors building one of Windsor’s most iconic creative hubs. Other Space Arts showcases anything from DJ sets, to heavy metal, to acoustic folk nights, doing their best to support the best new talent arriving on the scene!
Alongside this, he also runs the Music & Words club fortnightly, as well as filming and recording various artists for showreels and music videos.
TOMORROW BIRD – READING
Tomorrow Bird are an americano-folk duo from Reading, known for their outstanding harmonies and musical synergy.
They have been nominated for their tireless efforts to support community events such as Reading Pride, and supporting other artists through recording and other projects. Also, after facing significant health challenges in 2025, have managed to make a secure income from pivoting from live performance to production. They are definitely ones to watch!
ONLYADZ/PXNGU – READING
Only Adz is a Reading-based rapper and the brainchild behind Icey Music, a growing underground hip-hop scene in Reading.
Adz was nominated for his tireless work in presenting countless artists at his events, as well as working on his development as an artist (Pxngu, formerly known as Onlyadz).
