SOKA Fest brings together the Reading and Berkshire music communities for a town-wide celebration of grassroots live music. The event honours Sophie Sheehan, a much-loved member of the local music scene who died in 2025. Sophie regularly performed live, helped organise Reading Pride and strongly supported Reading’s LGBTQ+ community.
The Market House programme features ten individual performances, creating a full afternoon and evening of live music in Reading. The bill moves from Velvet Monster through to AJ Acoustic, giving audiences plenty of opportunities to discover local performers. Each act has their own unique style, from rock to folk, to showcase throughout the day!
SOKA Fest is a celebration from local artists from across Berkshir, joining forces to raise funds for Reading Pride.
