As we approach the official launch of the first opportunity to come through the Artistree, it’s time to give a little more detail into why it benefits artists!Â
Â
The musical community is critical for the Berkshire Artistree to gain credibility, so for that to happen we need to outline how it can help you grow your act…

1. Referrals
Now that we have an established network it makes it easy for people to come to us to find what they’re looking for. As it’s an open network, there’s no barriers with pay walls, politics or bias in any way.Â
There are specific artists for specific occasions so that audiences and venues can find who’s right for them.Â
2. Tangible advice
At the same time as marketing the events, you can learn how to properly present yourself online through social media and other marketing techniques so the client can see you at your best. Added to this you can learn about how to negotiate, solidify your brand and prepare for when a client reaches out.
3. Venue referrals
We are currently working on a plan to pay you for successfully referring venues to our platform.Â
Â
Look out for future newsletters for when we announce how this will work!

4. Networking
There are various open mics, songwriter nights and jam nights listed that you can attend and meet likeminded people. You can often collaborate with people online, but its not the same as meeting in person, discovering similar influences and seeing who you gel best with.Â
Additionally, you can learn from more experienced people and build a strong social circle to help build your confidence!
5. Marketing
Event listings will link to both the venue and the artist’s socials (see image), so users can get a feel for what you offer. This way you can gain new followers, understand which venues suit your act the best and see people at your events who might not otherwise know about them.Â

6. Exclusive opportunities
The benefit of the network is that opportunities have come to us for one-off requirements. So far we’ve placed people at private events, put them forward for brand partnerships and connected artists with suppliers such as producers and videographers.
There are podcasts, retail discounts and festivals that want to meet artists to help showcase their own businesses. You can get behind great charitable causes to help your brand, or straight up be hired for specific jobs that happen on occasion.
Sign up to the newsletter and submit your socials and you’ll be added to a database where we can shortlist you if anything comes up!
Hopefully now you can see how this community can help each other easily and grow together.
I’m so excited to develop this site with all of you and I hope you can see my vision to grow the music scene in Berkshire!
