Loz has spent most of his adult life immersed in live music. Over the years, he has performed across small clubs, large venues and festival stages, and has even appeared on television. A multi-instrumentalist, he plays mandolin, guitar and bass with equal ease. In addition, he recently released his own album, Vintage Mandolin, and continues to contribute to other artists’ projects through regular session work.
These days, Loz performs either as one half of his duo, Vo & Loz, or as a solo artist. When performing alone, he accompanies himself on guitar or mandolin, creating a full, textured sound that suits both intimate rooms and lively gatherings. His performances take him to pubs, private parties and festivals, where his relaxed style and musicianship set the tone.
His set list is wide-ranging, yet rooted firmly in the golden decades of popular music. Drawing mainly from the 1950s through to the 1980s, he revisits songs from the back catalogues of artists such as Van Morrison, Johnny Cash, Cat Stevens and Creedence Clearwater Revival. Audiences can also expect favourites from The Eagles, Donovan, John Denver, Bob Dylan, The Rolling Stones, Buddy Holly, The Everly Brothers and Elvis Presley.
Meanwhile, Loz brings a touch of classic sophistication with selections from The Great American Songbook. He performs timeless pieces by Irving Berlin, Cole Porter and Fats Waller, adding further depth to an already varied repertoire.
As a result, his shows blend folk, rock ’n’ roll, country and classic pop into an evening that feels both familiar and thoughtfully curated.
